The expressions of facial features and hands reflect people’s emotions and feelings. The lips are a symbol of feelings, and the hands are representatives of language. To establish communication relationships between people, in addition to facial features, it is therefore the hands.
In the eyes of the Chinese, the face is a small universe, and so are the hands. There is a photographer in the history of Western modern art: it’s Stieglitz, the husband of Georgia O’Keeffe, who often photographed her hands to show the different characteristics and emotions of the hands.
The expressions on people’s faces when they interact with others reflect interpersonal relationships. Expressions of intimacy or alienation often prompt those around you to adopt different attitudes and treat them differently.
I do not know since when the seal of the image of the Buddha has deeply penetrated our hearts. The flowers he twists in his hands are like the seal of the Buddha, and his lips are as bright as flowers. Therefore, people talk about lotus flowers and often say good things to shorten interpersonal relationships and fill society with peace.
Han Baode, director of the Religious Museum, stated: “The hands and facial features are symbols of personality and the basis of aesthetics.”
